Overview:
This high-potential pre-IPO start-up company in explosive industry has begun migration to commercial operations. The company designs and manufactures silicon processing equipment. The company has customers and an industry leading team.
Job Responsibilities:
The company is currently seeking an individual with experience in designing and developing ultra-pure material processes, especially related to machining and finishing processes. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of machining processes, finishing systems, or processing systems used in industries such as powder processing, size reducing equipment such as ball mills; grinders, etc. Familiarity with silicon properties and silicon machining is highly desired.
The candidate should be good at developing new and unique concepts to solve problems. The position will require some travel, both in country and abroad. This position is for a self motivated engineer who likes working with a minimum of supervision.
This will require the use of chemicals, thermal processes, and sorting systems. The position will start in Santa Clara, but there is the possibility of having to work in Portland, Oregon during the production start up.
Education Requirement:
BS or equivalent in mechanical engineering, material science, or chemical engineering.
Experience Requirement:
5 to 10 years experience.
