 Mr. Ford is a co-founder and has been the President and CEO of Solaicx since 2002. He is proud that he has driven the company’s vision and has attracted and retained a diverse, highly experienced team at Solaicx.
Mr. Ford was previously a co-founder, vice president of business development, and a board member for Waterfall, a medical technology company in Santa Cruz. Some significant accomplishments include: negotiating and closing a multi million complex strategic alliance with a pharmaceutical company; developing a joint marketing alliance with a Fortune 500 plastics manufacturer to create new distribution opportunities; and, presenting and participating in the acquisition of private placement financing.
Mr. Ford has a wealth of start-up and emerging growth business experience. He launched a logistics-support contractor division for a Saudi Arabian company that had sales of $7 million in the second year of business with profits exceeding projections. In ramping the division, Mr. Ford recruited 180 employees from around the world and managed the organization.
Mr. Ford is an entrepreneur, marketer, business developer and leader. He has significant experience in business formation and financing and creates and executes market driven strategies. Working with technology and service organizations, he has been able to design, negotiate, close, and manage complex deals.
Mr. Ford has an MBA from UCLA and a BA from St. Mary's College.
