Dave Bender - Chief Engineer
Mr. Bender is a recognized industry leading expert in the design, construction and operation of CZ crystal growers, wire saws, vacuum systems, environmental control systems, robotics, and automation. Mr. Bender has designed and improved numerous CZ crystal growing systems and wire saws for the Hamco/Kayex Corporation, Cincinnati Milacron, and Silicon Technology Inc. He has a deep background in the solar electricity field. Mr. Bender spent 21 years with Arco Solar/Siemens Solar. He was originally hired by Arco to establish the Camarillo facility which eventually became the largest PV production plant in the world. He was responsible for building and operating CZ crystal growing facilities as well as the company's wire saw capability.
Most recently Mr. Bender served as president of Bentronics, a specialized equipment design and manufacturing consulting company for the solar and semiconductor industries.
